Sherkica Miller-McIntyre dived headfirst into real estate investing  over 20 years ago providing lease buy-back options to new home construction buyers whose deal were falling through. Buying directly from the builder allowed her to capitalize on both the leasing and sales market in the early 2000’s.   Building passive income from the leases and earning five figure profits on 12-24 months transactions lead Sherkica to desire earning an additional source of income… the commission!

After earning her sales license in December 2004, Sherkica immediately gained her Broker’s license in 2005 and earned the title of Broker in Charge of Carod Properties.

Sherkica, along with her supportive husband and business partner, Gary, has been able to exponentially grow Carod Properties.  Carod Properties is one of the top property management firms in the Charlotte market. Having served over 500 investor-clients and more than 2500 resident families in North and South Carolina. Matching the needs of investors across the world to the housing needs of residents, Sherkica has gained the title  of  “One Stop Shop for Investors”.

Her boutique brokerage boasts all African-American female brokers and staff, where Sherkica herself actively lists and sells as a consistent multi-million dollar producer.

Her desire to educate her resident-customers on credit; budget and savings; how to maintain and continue to build wealth through homeownership in real estate inspired the creation of DIVAS Doing Real Estate®️; a coaching and consulting firm empowering African American women to pursue real estate as an avenue to create, maintain and grow generational wealth.

Sherkica holds both a BSBA and MBA with an emphasis in Marketing.  She has over 25 years of experience in Customer Service and Management, 15 years of experience in Financial Services which include Consulting and Mortgage Lending.  She is currently an active member of NARPM®️(National Association of Residential Property Managers) and  NAREB where she serves diligently on various committees and boards..

Her most recent endeavor is A Home For Her, Inc., a non-profit organization, created to provide educational resources and financial assistance to African American female first time homebuyers so that they are not affected by the constraints of the typical Down Payment  Assistance Programs.

Sherkica and her husband/business partner of 22 years are the very proud parents of four amazing children, a “GlamMa” of an adorable Alaskan Husky and a Pomski.

She loves to travel and has found a passion for adult coloring books.  Her only issue right now is finding the time to pursue her new passion of coloring.
